2 problems on check-out page

Hi Nicolas,

Please take a look at the attached page. You can view the actual webpage: demetracabinetry.com/demetra-shop-online/checkout.html

2 problems on the checkout page:
1.Shipping method / payment method : title is missing
2.Image is too big and it pushes the text out of the boarder line.

I am new at Hikashop and green with CSS codes, can you advise me how to solve above problems more specificly? Thank you!

Did you edit the "Cart" file of the "Checkout" view of the front-end template that you are currently using ?

Hi,

You can add that CSS to display the titles:
#hikashop_checkout_page legend {
color: black !important;
}

And for the images you can add that CSS:
.hikashop_cart_product_image_thumb img{
height: 40px !important;
}

Hi Nicolas,

For the problem 1, firstly I didn't edit the "Cart" file of the "Checkout" view of the front-end template. The weird thing is that it didn't show on the computer screen but when I print it (to PDF) it appears in light grey color. See attached.

For the CSS coding you instructed, I don't know which file to use for adding those on? Is there any specific place that i should add on or just add on the very end?

1. You didn't attached any PDF :).

2. You should add this CSS code through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Display->Front-end CSS File"

HIghlight the area where those titles appear to be missing with your cursor, and you will see that the words are there in white. Maybe there is CSS somewhere designating those titles as white.

The CSS code I told you to add on your website will force their color to be black:
#hikashop_checkout_page legend {
color: black !important;

Nicolas,

I tried to add your CSS code on below two files, but seems it doesn't work.

- "Cart" file of the "Checkout" view of the front-end template.
- "shipping"file of the "checkout" view of the front-end template.

I added the code on the very end of the file. Is it the right place?

Hi Zoe,

If you have to add any CSS for Hikashop, you'll have to do it through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Display->'Front-end CSS File'".

Hi

Thanks! Yes that works after I put it in the front-end CSS file!

However, another problem regarding the image, see attached, the image is not showing there unless you click on it. How to make it showing with a small thumbnail?

Hi,
I think that the problem is coming from the fact that you changed the "Cart" file of the "checkout" view of the front-end template that you are currently using.

If that's the case :

- Could you save your modification in another file and then revert your changes through the "delete" button in front of your "Cart" file ("Hikashop->Display->Views") ?

Hi

Thanks for the reply.
I don't think I changed the "CART" file of the "checkout" view of the front-end template, If I did, that must be by accident.

Before I do anything, to avoid messing up other stuff, I want to make sure I understand you correctly. Please see attached, do you mean I can click the "delete"(remove customization) button as circled out there?

I deleted the modification on the "cart" file at the checkout view of the front-end template, but the image thumbnail is still not showing there.

Please advise what's going wrong?

Then it means that either you're not using the latest version of HikaShop or that the folder media/com_hikashop/upload is not writable (in that case, you should check its permissions via FTP).

Hi,

Your problem come from the thumbnails, I think that you had changed the thumbnail size parameters, so HikaShop is searching the images in the folder with the new dimensions.
Try to remove and add the images in the product edition page in HikaShop. This will generate the thumbnails with the good size, and then they will be displayed fine.
