Hi,

In HikaSerial it won't be difficult.
A serial is always attached to a product with a specified ratio (so linked to the quantity).

It will be better to do it directly in the products.

Thanks for the reply and info.

My serials are $50/each

In the products will I need to create one product that is
$50/1 serial
and a 2nd product that is
$150/ 3 serials?

Ideally I would have one product that when people bought
1 they get 1
2 they get 2
3 they get 4
4 they get 5
5 they get 6
6 they get 8
etc

does that make sense?
Is this possible to do?

Thanks! -- Steven

Hi,

As I said, it is not a feature which can be provided by HikaSerial but by HikaShop.
What I can recommend you is to use the HikaShop "User points" feature.
Thanks to it, the user will have some points which can be use to buy a specific product.

By buying a $50 product, you will gain 1 point and you will gain 3 points by buying the $150 product.
Using 3 points, you can have a $50 discount on the products (you can limit it to a specific category).

So the user will have his "free" serial but he will have to reclaim it by using his points.

Hope my explanations are clear enough.

Thanks so much for the reply!

Will that mean that the user has a two step process?

Step1 buy points?
Step2 redeem points for serial numbers?

Looking for a solution where user interaction is minimal.

Ideally they put the product in the cart and can increase the number of serials purchased and the price will adjust to the correct amount.

Hi,

Like I said, the best is to see in HikaShop itself and not in HikaSerial (it is not the good forum section for that).
But the plugin allow several kind of configuration which does not need a special action of the user, like "virtual points" or "virtual discount" to create a dynamic and automatic discount.
