Hi all,

Our hikamarket vendors are creating crazy sized and formatted text for their product descriptions which is making the site look awful.

Does anyone know of a REALLY simple joomla text editor that has only paragraph, bold, italic and underline, but saves as HTML? I can then set this as the default Hikamarket editor to prevent them from doing this. I have tried setting the editor to none, but pressing enter to create paragraphs in the description gets removed on the front page.

Hope someone can recommend :)

Thx.

p.s I am currently using JCE editor with everything disabled, but its still possible to create crazy descriptions.

Hi,

Maybe consider or try using the good old TinyMCE, which you can configure to a minimum of functionality. Anything still left over, like formatting buttons, you can hide with CSS.

It's a plugin, so you need to find it among the Joomla plugins, click on it and configure it there.

Not sure what you're doing or where you're clicking. So...

Joomla backend -> Extensions -> Plugins
Search for "TinyMCE".
Click on "Editor - TinyMCE".
The plugin backend should open with configuration options in two tabs, "Plugin" and "Advanced".

If you're not seeing this, please post a screenshot of what you're seeing instead.

scratch that, now it works. thanks

Ah ok. Well, maybe this here helps others then.
