Hi,
today i descovered that i have a duplicated content because i created a double menù.
For example i have tha same product with 2 urls:
www.lacasettabio.it/negozio-online/prodotto/ceci-bio-vendita
www.lacasettabio.it/negozio-online/legum...tto/ceci-bio-vendita
Is there a way to have the same url without cut-off one menu?

Hi,

If it is for seo purpose, you can fill the filed "canonical url" in the product edition page.
That way only one url will be used for the seo.

Else you can try to adjust the SEF settings in the HikaShop configuration, or use a third component to manage sef.

Hi,
yes, it is for SEO purpose.
On the main menu I had created one voice "Online-shop" and had gave it the "HikaShop » Categories listing ".
On its dropdown sub-menu i had gave one "HikaShop » Products listing " for each category.
So now i've discovered my error!
But i'd like to solve without 404 errors with Google.
I tryed to set the SEF setting s on Hikashop configuration but i'm not be able to have the same URL.
I'm never used the canonical url. So i don't know how does it work.
Do you have a tutorial or could you give me some example?
Then i suppose i have to work on every product i have. Is'n it?

Hi,

You don't need to have the same URL everywhere.
All you need to do is to have one of the URLs of the product in the "canonical URL" setting of your products. That will tell search engines that it's an alias URL and won't flag it as a duplicate content.

Hi,
I hope I got it right. Please, do not get angry with me if it is not so.
So, i take one product to have a test and from my menues i have two URL:
www.lacasettabio.it/negozio-online/zuppe...tto/zuppa-la-casetta
www.lacasettabio.it/negozio-online/prodotto/zuppa-la-casetta
Now i write " www.lacasettabio.it/negozio-online/prodotto/zuppa-la-casetta " on the Canonical URL on the page of the product "zuppa-la-casetta".
Then i go on the frontend of the site and try to go on the page of the "zuppa-la-casetta" from the 2 menues but i have always the same two URL:
www.lacasettabio.it/negozio-online/zuppe...tto/zuppa-la-casetta
www.lacasettabio.it/negozio-online/prodotto/zuppa-la-casetta
Where i was wrong?

Hi,

You're not wrong. The URLs being different is normal and not a problem as long as you enter one of them in the canonical URL of the product. So you're all set now for that product page. It won't get flagged by Google as duplicate content anymore.
