Hi,

Most of the time when I create a new product I copy another one that is almost similar. I then only need to alter some fields to have a new product.

Lately I noticed something strange. When I copy a product to create a new one I can change some fields and everything goes OK. The name of the Vendor is also copied and that is necessary.
Only when I change or add one of the characteristics the vendor disappears from the product. I sell downloadable files and one of my characteristics is 'filetype'. So when I have a product saved in several filetypes then clients can choose which filetype they want to download. Changing or adding a filetype causes the vendor field of the product to be set to 'None'.

Is that a bug or is that default behaviour? I like to keep the vendor of the product when I add characteristics. Now I have moments that I forget to check whether the vendor field is filled correctly. Vendors will not be happy to loose sales about something like this.

Thanks

Sjaak

Hi,

Can you please describe the process you are doing ?
I have to admit that I don't visualize it (so I don't understand the nature of the issue).

Hi Jerome,

I try to tell my story with screenshots. The number of the screenshots is the order of the sequence. I hope this makes it all clear.

Hi Jerome,

My French is poor so It may be that I don't understand correctly what this post says.

I understand that I need to find the file 'shop_form' in the view 'productmarket' to change the described code.

Only.....in the template that I use there is no such file available in the mentioned view. What am I doing wrong?

Regards

That's just not possible. Specially when the reply in the thread explain that the patch is working fine.

Even if the thread is in French ; all useful information are English words, like

Dans la vue backend "productmarket / shop_form", merci de remplacer
