How to edit vendor's email order conformation

How do I configure the vendors in HikaMarket so each gets their own email notification when an order is placed? Under Main Information is an email field but it doesn't clearly state that this is for order notifications.

Hello,

By default your vendors will receive an email notification when an order is create (with some of their products).
But HikaMarket have an "order status filter" so you can decide for which order statuses you want to notify your vendor.

For example you don't want to send them an email if the order is created because you have an "automatic" payment method so you prefer that they just receive the "confirmed" email.

The vendor is notified on his vendor email address.

Afterwards, the different users can be notified directly too if they have the "order/notify" ACL set.

I did everything the way you described it and we're still not receiving any emails. See screen shots.

Hello,

I can see that you put an override of the global "order status notification" email for your vendor ; but we can't see what are the real and final accesses for your vendor (and so, his users).
So we are not able to see if the users (and the vendor) have the "order / notify" access ; we also do not know if your "order status notification" emails are published or not.

For the email settings ; please first configure them globaly in the HikaMarket configuration and not per vendor.
The configuration per vendor is when you want to create an override to handle specific cases ; I think that right now, you want to configure it globally.

Thank you for your response.

The problem is, I don't understand the extension very well. It's two very complex components and I don't understand how it all works, so I actually hired a company to set up HikaMarket. Due to language barriers, they did bot get it 100% working properly.

My set up is actually very simple. I currently have two vendors who will not have any users, they will be their own user. They login, are redirected via a plugin, then select items they'd like to order from their own personal store. There will only be one login for each store, no payment and no shipping. Everything is built and works great, all I need now is a confirmation email to go to the user to conform what they ordered.

I turned on "order status notification" and check the user permissions. Those seem fine now but still no email confirming the order. As admin, I do get the confirmation email but not the client.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Hello,

You have to make a distinction between :
- The store owner (the administrator / you)
- The vendors
- The customers

HikaMarket emails are just for the vendors and only for the vendors.
HikaShop handle the mails for the store owner and the customers.

You're talking about the "confirmation email" but I am not sure of whom should receive the email.
In HikaShop, the confirmation email for the store owner (and in a way, the customer) is handle by the payment plugin itself ; when the plugin confirm the order it have to indicate if it want to notify the customer or not ; and the administrator confirmation should be sent directly by the plugin.

HikaMarket have a different way to handle the emails because it is based on the vendor orders ; when the order status change, it can send emails to the vendor depending the configuration (email published or not, access level set or not, order status authorized or not).

I hope that explanation will help you to understand the tasks of the different components and give you a better idea of what you want to do exactly.

This is way too confusing for me. I even hired a freelancer to get this set up but they seem to be making a mess of everything and charging me hundreds of dollars. Finally today, they suggested I abandon HikaMarket completely and have them custom code HikaShop.

Can you recommend someone who can get us set up properly?

Hello,

The easier would be that I take a look at your current configuration in order to check the different settings.
Please use the "contact us" form in order to send us such kind of private information (with a link to that forum thread so I will be assigned to the ticket).

The vendor notification is something directly provided in HikaMarket so there is no need of custom code.
And knowing that the development of HikaMarket 1.0.0 was almost one year, I prefer not imagine the price of same kind of feature in custom code.
