[solved] Follow Vendor and get notified when new products is added

Hi Hikashop team

I'm looking for an approach, where my registred Hikashop users (buyers) somehow can follow my Vendors (sellers) in Hikamarket, and somehow get notified when their favorite Vendor add a new product.

Is there any way that Users can get notified by e-mail when new products is added?
What would be best pratice?

Hello,

It would require some custom development to implement such feature.

But I think that the integration between EasySocial and HikaShop/HikaMarket might do the trick ; if I remember right it would be possible for vendors to "post" in their easysocial feed their products. So using the EasySocial system you will have your notifications.

Hi Jerome

I think integration of EasySocial or JoomSocial into my Hikashop/Hikamarket project would be a lot of work and beyond my project scope.

I was hoping and look for a way to e.g. send a daily e-mail (newsletter alike) of newly added products in my shop. As a Hikamarket owner, I can get administrator emails, when new vendors are registred or when new products is added and for this configure if I should approve new products. So I'm not looking for building a fully social network solution, but still need a simple way to push some awareness of new products added into my store.

I was hoping for a solution in: Hikashop > System > Emails > Market: Product creation
An option to add or customize e.g. "Market: Newsletter - New products" and somehow maybe a cronjob that runs this "report".

I hope you can follow what I'm trying to achieve?

Maybe AcyMailing plugin for Hikashop is the solution?

Hello,

Either way, you need to store "somewhere" which user is "following" which vendor.
It's not something that HikaShop or HikaMarket will provide.
If you want to use Acymailing it would require to create a lot of groups for newsletters and maybe some new plugin to create the dynamic vendor filter.
