Hikashop shipping/billing address issue

Hi,

I may be wrong but if you have 2 address blocks in one step during checkout there seems to be an issue with address blocks update between each other.

To reproduce the issue.

1. Add 2 address views in one step and set one as shipping address, second as billing address.
2. Enter shipping address and make sure "address is same as billing" is ticket.
3. Save address.

Shouldn't billing address block to be update via ajax as well? Now after page refresh it shows billing address, else you need to enter billing address and after saving it you have 2 billing addresses.

Please advise?

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback. I was able to reproduce the problem on our end. I've added a patch for it.
Please download again the isntall package of the 3.5.1 on our website and install it on yours to get the patch for that.

Hi,

1. It seems there is another issue with the address during checkout. I think it has started after last update (Hikashop version: 1808090926) but i may be wrong....

Now to reproduce the issue:

1. Create account via joomla or hikashop checkout if still not have it. It doesn't matter....
2. Login
3. Delete all addresses if you have them...
4. Add new shipping address and uncheck "Address is also a billing address". Save it.
5. Address is succesfully added in front-end and back-end.
6. Try to go to next checkout step and it should give error: "Please create or select an address".

Same issue if address block is set to billing address...


If checkbox "Address is also a billing address" is checked then all works fine.

2. Another issue is with login block. If user tries to checkout as guest (ask address on registration is set to "yes"), add address and then he changes hes mind and register account, the address is dublicated. You than have 2 same addresses in back-end and front-end...

I hope you can reproduce those issues.

Hello,

1 - If you do not have a billing or a shipping address ; yes you won't be able to go further in the checkout since you need to have/create them.

2 - Please clarify, we don't understand what "duplicated" means for you.

Hello,

I'm sorry but you cannot have a checkout workflow without the selection of the billing address.
Billing address is mandatory.

Indeed, that makes sense. Thank you for clarification Jerome. But what if you want to have billing in next step with payment options as example?

Also could you please add some text in back-end above each address. So we could know which address is shipping and which is billing cause now it's a little bit confusing via Customers->Addresses.

Hello,

I will add a patch but I need to tell you that your test case is flawed.
A classical account would be create via an HikaShop registration, which include the billing address.
And when a customer have a billing address in the database, that address is automatically used in the cart.
Now, if you exchange the billing with the shipping ; you got something more logical and cases which could happen.

No worries. We have 1 page checkout and it works fine for us. I was just thinking about different checkout steps and then checkbox would make confuse for people...
