Where can I change the THANK YOU message?

Once redirected from Pay Pal after paying, it goes back to my site to a page with the message THANK YOU FOR YOUR PURCHASE.

I cannot find that file ANYWHERE to change the wording.

Anyone know where it is?

THANKS!

Hi,

Like any text in HikaShop you can override its translation key as explained there:
www.hikashop.com/en/download/languages.html#modify

Thanks for your answer, but not quite what I was asking. Once you purchase from Pay Pal, you are redirected back to a page within the site that has a THANK YOU message. I want to change just that message specifically (not language elsewhere) and can't find where to do it in the Joomla backend. It's not an article, or a module as far as I can see.
Does that explain it more clearly?

THANKS!

I clearly understood what you want.
And my answer is the same. You can do that by overriding the corresponding translation key in your language file:
THANK_YOU_FOR_PURCHASE="Thank you for your purchase."

OK, thanks! So if I want to write a much longer message, would I change it in that format. For instance: THANK_YOU_FOR_PURCHASE. PLEASE_CHECK_YOUR_EMAIL_FOR_DOWNLOAD_INSTRUCTIONS -- or whatever else I want it to say?

Much appreciated!

No, you need to change it like that:
THANK_YOU_FOR_PURCHASE="Thank you for your purchase. Please check your email for download instructions"

benwade,

No need to post the same question multiple times.

Like most other text and messages in HikaShop, you'll find the message in the language file /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_hikashop.ini

However, you should not change it there, but instead create a language override, which is a basic Joomla feature. Otherwise it'll be back to the old state when you update HikaShop.

Apologies for bringing this thread back to life, but I am looking for something along these lines, but to offer a different message per payment type.

Is this possible?

Hello,

Best in such case would be to use the "return URL" of your payment instances.
So you will redirect to different pages depending the method.
Otherwise, you can see to customize the "checkout / end" view and add some custom PHP to analyse the order and the used payment method.

Thank you Jerome. I will use the customise method as it offers more flexibility for me.
