Using the Donation (HikaShopCustom Price) plugin was created by jonblk
Good Day,
I am attempting to use two different types of checkouts on the same website. This is because I have two completely different types of products to sell.
I would like one type of checkout to use the "Donation (HikaShopCustom Price) plugin" which was created by the developer and the other checkout will use the "Donation (HikaShopCustom Price) plugin" which I modified to display a dynamic product price NOT created from the HikaShop--->Products page.
Is there a way to do this? If so please tell me how.
PS:- I am very new to HikaShop and also a beginner in Joomla! so please be very detailed in your answer.
Thank You

Hi,
I don't see why you would need to different checkout for that ?
The donation plugin requires the use of a custom item field which will be displayed on product pages. In the custom field options, you have a categories listing which allows you to restrict on which products that custom field will be displayed.
So you could have one type of products with that donation custom item field which the plugin would then use for the price of the product, and another type of products without that field and the price of the product would be the price entered in the backend.
You can see an example on our demo website:
demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=com_h...show&cid=214&lang=en
That product has the custom item field while other products don't and the plugin only works on that field, all that with just one checkout.

Hi again,
Thank you for the reply.
I think my problem may be that I do not have the business version of HikaShop.
Is there an alternative way of accomplishing what I am attempting?
Thank You in advance.

Hi,
Custom item fields are indeed only available with the Business edition.
It's always possible to code that yourself if you're a coder. Otherwise, it will be cheaper to just buy the Business edition than hiring a developer to do that for you, and on top of that, you will get many other features.

HikaShopCustom Price plugin. Where do I modify the plugin? /mywebsite.com/plugins/hikashoppayment/ or somewhere else? I can't seem to find it.
Found it. The plugin resides here: /mywebsite.com/plugins/system/custom_price
OK. Question. In your store example you have Amount to delete for the donation form. Where do I change that? When you sent me the plugin it simple says "amount" as default and all I want to do is capitalize it to "Amount:"
Thanks.

Hi,
In the Custom item field that you created for it, you have added a column name "amount" which is necessary for the plugin. Regarding the label of the field, you can enter anything you want so you can put an uppercase on the A if you want or have something totally different.
