Running Essential for registration free ordering, this is our second Hikashop site and was built as a straight clean shop for a niche market. We used the bare Joomla 1.5.22 install and free ja_purity template setup with a 3 column layout. 150x150 thumbnails with a 1 item per row category list with product and random module. Product show with related module.
Courtesy of our previous site...which I'll make a separate subject for...we pulled across some customised views so we had something that suited our tastes pretty quickly. Boasting about 380 products (based on ID count which includes variants) it took 2 of us around 10-12 hours each to get it up and running, my partner entering products and me doing the layout/config/views etc.
Very happy with how quickly and easily it came together, and happy to receive feedback good or bad on the site.
