Is it possible to target Affiliates to a category?

Is it possible to target Affiliates to a category of products or a particular product?

For example:

Affiliate 1 receives commission on Category 1 of products only
Affiliate 2 receives commission on Category 2 of products only
Affiliate 3 receives commission on ALL products
Affiliate 4 receives commission on only 1 specific product

Currently it's not possible.
The easiest way could be to create a plugin to manage this. It require good php knowledges.
