Order not confirmed after Paypal payment

-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.2

Hello Everyone

On my Hikashop Essential installation I setup a product for testing and enable the Paypal checkout option. Everything seems to be working fine. I was able to pay for the item and after payment I was redirect to my website that shows that payment has been completed. However on my backend server I don't see the order as completed. I confirm that Paypal charge me the correct amount.

Since the order is not confirmed I haven't receive my confirmation email of order completed.

Did I miss to enable any configuration?

Hello Nicolas

Thanks for the reply and link I'm trying to figure it out what is happening to my paypal issue. So far I'm still having the issue. Is there a way I can test the Paypal functionality without paying for a actual item? Perhaps like Paypal Sandbox?

Hi,

Sure. You can use the PayPal Sandbox with the paypal plugin, no problem. Just replace the email and URL accordingly in the settings of the plugin once you created the sandbox accounts as explained in the documentation of the PayPal plugin.
