Easy question about "Customer Account"

Hello,
When I log into hikashop and click User Control panel and then Customer account, it dumps me back at
the homepage. when I scroll down I see the controls in the middle of the page. How can I
make it so that "Customer Account" does not redirect me to the home page?

also, is there a way to get rid of the "Basic Settings" area of the user configuration?

Sorry for being unclear. Basically once the user logs and they go to their control panel, everything looks good. As soon as they click "customer account" they go back to my index page, and the interface is now in the middle of the page. I think it is possibly a module position issue?

Basically everything works fine except when the user clicks the Customer Account button they go back to my index and the panel for customer account is in the middle of the page. It's driving me nuts! Also how can I better "fit" Customer Account on that button?
