Mail not sending after password update

-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.1
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

So yesterday, I had an issue that required me to update all my email passwords (that was the ONLY change). I completed that task, and Joomla sends me the test email and all works fine...until I get a completed sale. I get no emails from Hikashop.

Just to make sure I typed out the passwords correctly in Joomla & the email client, I re-updated it with the same password, and again...I get the Joomla test email...but still, no emails from HikaShop and I've triple checked everything.

Any suggestions here? It was all working just fine until the password change, and now...nothing.

Please note, that before anyone says update Joomla & Hikashop first...I'd love to, but, no one can resolve the error I get trying to update...so if someone could fix that I'd be able to.

EDIT - Oddly I JUST got my Cron email...but still no emails on the sales I had today which happened after the password change.

What HikaShop email ?!
What's the link between the "password update" which is entirely related to Joomla core (and nothing at all with HikaShop) and HikaShop ?

I apologize Jerome, I should have been a little more specific.

I was speaking of the created order (when a customer leaves stuff in the cart and doesn't finish the payment process, the confirmed order email when the payment is actually followed through, as well as the payment notification I usually get.

Oddly enough, as I type this, I just had 2 more sales right now and one earlier today...all of which I got the emails on. So it's possible (at least in my limited knowledge of this process) that it's one of three things...
  • The password change takes up to 48 hours to process all the way through
  • There was some sort of server issue preventing those emails at the same time I changed the password
  • Or...this was just an odd occurrence

If it happens again, I'll post in here again, but hopefully it is resolved.

Hello,

You can use the email history plugin to log the emails sent by HikaShop.
But regarding how HikaShop sent emails; there is no kind of relation with the Joomla account nor the fact that the password changed (or when it was changed).
You might have issues with some email addresses but you should find another reason for that issue.

No. It's included by default.
If you have the Customers>Email log menu in your HikaShop then you already have it activated and you can just go there to check whether or not the emails were sent by HikaShop as all the emails sent by HikaShop are logged there.
If they are there, then the problem is to be checked with your hosting company (where the email server you're using to send the emails is).

Humm...well, it isn't in the Menu you said it would be...but it is active in my plugins. Maybe I have to setup something or change something in the configuration?

Hi,

I've checked and I couldn't find the HikaShop email history plugin on your website.
So either you've uninstalled it, or you have permission issues in the plugins/hikashop/ folder preventing the installer from adding new plugins.
So check the permissions there, install HikaShop again and then go in the Joomla plugins manager to check that the plugin has been added and activated.
Then you should have the menu for the email history.
