Define a redirect URL after email activation

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1

Don't know if this is actually managed by HikaShop or Joomla itself.

When I register a new client through the checkout process I get an activation email.

GREAT!

Now, after clicking the activation link I'm being brought to this 'non sense' URL

index.php/es/component/hikashop/product/listing?Itemid=453 which corresponds to a hidden menu and shows content which is irrelevant to the new client.

Where or how can I define a URL to be redirected?

Hi,

The activation link is pointed to the checkout.
Because you open the link with a different browser ; you do not have your cart in the session (because it's another browser).
So you have an empty cart.
When you have an empty cart and you want to display the checkout; you're redirected to the product listing.

I love you are always so explicit and clear in explanations. Thank you!

Anyhow, could you suggest a trick for this situations on how to handle a reidrection to the main page or product page or something?

Should this be done with the default Joomla redirect component ot is there a better smarter way?

And in the situation your explained case reproduces in which cart is empty, will the email activation link point always to the exact same URL?

Hi,

You can configure the URL where you want to be directed in such case with the option "URL where you will be redirected when the cart is empty" of the HikaShop configuration.

If you use the same browser to open the link, you will stay on the checkout. If you don't, you'll be redirected to the URL that you specify in that option.
