Hi,

I have an excell file with 1100 rows. The excell file size is 500kb, but when i export it to csv it's about 18MB.
When i import it in hikashop it takes a very long time to process it. Is there a way to downsize it?

When I open the csv in wordpad i see that between every product, there are about sixteen thousend ; characters. Probably for every empty colomn? Is there a way to leave them out when i export to a csv file and would that have an influence on the processing time in hikashop?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Delete the columns you don't need in Excel and then export it to CSV. That should significantly reduce the size.

Also note that the fact that it takes a lot of time to process the CSV might not be linked to the size of the CSV itself.
For example, if you have URLs for the images of the products, HikaShop would have to download each image one after another. With more than a thousand images to download, it would be logical that it would take time to import the CSV.
