Hi
Category tree is not correct after upgrade to 2.5.0.
I checked database and the "category_type" is product and also all "category_parent_id" are the same.
I think that the key for this problem is that the categories with "category_id" smaller than the parent category are "refused" to go under it in the tree.

Details inside the screenshot

Please advice
Thank you

Hi,

1. The simplest solution is to create a mass action via the menu System>Mass action of the type "category", with two filters: one on the column "category_parent_id" equal to 0 and one on the column "category_id" different from 1.
And with an action "update the values" on the column "category_parent_id" equal to 1.
That will reassociate these categories below the root category.
Then, you can click on the "rebuild" button of the Categories listing of HikaShop to fix the tree structure and you'll be able to see these categories in the left explorer.

2. The "rebuild" button of the categories listing might help straighten that up.

Hi Nicolas

1. Rebuild is not affect the tree.

2. I made the mass action as you described with a question in the last step (see the screenshot) and categories dublicated, and a copy moved under the category in question.

Of course test was locally, so I had no problem to restore the database.

Can you please be more specific?

NOTE: I edit manually the category_id of the categories to be bigger than the parent category > rebuild, but no changed the tree.

Thank you

Hi,

Your mass action is the way I would have done it.
If that doesn't help, then we would have to look at your website backend in order to check the issue directly.
In that case, please provide an access along with a link to this thread via our contact form:

Thank you Nicolas

Back end category tree looks OK now.
Also I want to confirm that just uploading the new version in a local setup it cleared the problem.

Well done.
