-- HikaShop version -- : 2.5.0
-- Joomla version -- : 2.4.3
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.24
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

I have found an error with the Customers listing in HikaShop back end.

When I create a new Joomla user via the Users Manager in the back end - this user does NOT appear in the HikaShop users listing.

However, if I install an update of HikaShop and return to HikaShop > Customers - the recently created users now are listed there.

All front-end functionality with user sign up/customers listing is fine.

Hi,

Yes, the users are only synchronized when you install/update HikaShop or when they go through the checkout or through the registration page of HikaShop.
It's not really necessary to have them listed in the customers listing when they didn't purchase something or didn't interact with HikaShop yet.
We add them when you install/update HikaShop just to avoid questions from merchants asking us why they don't see the users there, but it's not really needed for the proper functioning of the shop or for the managing of the users since you have them in the Joomla user manager.

Thanks for the info.

Question then, how can I create a new order in the back end who does not already have an account, but I am creating an account for them.

For example, I have a customer who calls to make an order, and to encourage them to place orders online in future I create their account (give them logins) then process their order through the back end so that order info is attached to their account for future.

Hi,

You can go in the Joomla user manager and click on the "new" button in order to create a new user.
Then, the user will be visible in the customers listing of HikaShop provided that you didn't deactivate the "user synchronization plugin" of HikaShop which is the one doing that job.
Then, you'll be able to select the user when you create a new order in the backend.
