-- HikaShop version -- : 3.3.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.8
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.4
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome, latest
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error at offset 631 of 1203 bytes in /public_html/teszt/administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/helper.php on line 1570

Hi,

We are testing the new 3.3 version on our test site before installing it on production site.

When placing an order and go to checkout, we can not finish the order if using the Paypal payment method.

Error message is :

A plugin cancelled the update of the order product without displaying any error message.

Similar issue happened in some cases last year, like https://www.hikashop.com/forum/checkout/892276-checkout-not-working-last-step.html#280051this

Other payment methods like wire transfer work properly, with the same Notice on the page: unserialize(): Error at offset 631 of 1203 bytes in /home/***/public_html/teszt/administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/helper.php on line 1570 since error reporting is set to max

You do not have permissions to access this page.

How to avoid this checkout issue with the Paypal payment, when we wanna upgrade to 3.3.0 on our production site?

Thx

Hi,

Which version did you use before the update ?
The only reason the PayPal plugin itself would cancel the order is if the email or URL were empty in the settings of the payment method.
But even in that case, it should display an error message and not that generic error message.
So I'm thinking that it might be caused by another plugin (on the group "hikashop" or "system") but that the issue would only show up with the PayPal plugin.
Could you try deactivate the plugins of these groups and do tests again with PayPal to check that theory ?
I'm thinking that it might be linked to another extension which needs an option due to a modification we made with the 3.3.0.

Thank you, really, the URL field became empty in the settings:dry
Paypal is fine after filling in the URL settings properly.
