-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.6

Hello,

I've noticed this error since updating to HikaShop 3.4.0 on my back end, just got too busy to report it...but today I got an email from a customer stating it is preventing them from placing their order. This is the first I've heard of it on the customer side & I cannot replicate the issue myself, and have had other orders since updating so it may be limited to a specific reason that I cannot figure out.

Per the email image attached, and the Back End Cart image attached...this is the error:

USPS error: 80040B19 XML Syntax Error: Please check the XML request to see if it can be parsed.

Any ideas? I did a quick google search, and it seems to be within the USPS Plugin, but there are different resolutions for the ones I found.

It seems to always happen when I personally enter the back end cart option...but like I said, this is the first report of a customer receiving the error.

Thanks

Hello,

Can you show us information about your customer cart details (products dimensions/weight, shipping address..) through some screenshots so that we can eventually reproduce it on our end ? Thank you.

Best regards,

Hello Mohamed,

Sorry for the delay, my day job is requiring more & more of my time recently.

I've attached an image of his full cart, and the specifics are listed below...all dimensions are in inches

Large Flat Top Hex Base #1 - 99-201 - Product is 1x1.5x0.2, Weight is 1.0oz, Quantity 10
Blood Asp Prime - 20-492 - Product is 5x3x1.25, Weight is 3.9oz, Quantity 1
Thor "Summoner" Prime - 20-337 - Product is 5x3x1.25, Weight is 2.7oz, Quantity 2
Ryoken "Stormcrow" Prime/b - 20-320 - Product is 5x3x1.25, Weight is 2.4oz, Quantity 1

Ship from Zip was 53412, Ship to Zip is 02474...both in the U.S.

I've also created a new copy of the staging site, and will send that information via your contact form in case you need to log into the back end. This was an attempted purchase...so the sale never went through due to the error, the customer could not complete the sale. Date this happened was 03-19-2018, so when you look for it in the back end cart area...it is ID #126259. When sorted by date descending...it should be the 11th one in the list for a "Theron Hatfield".

Any time I enter the back end cart area...this error also pops up at the top of the screen...so my only guess is that it is starting to bleed over to the front end. What exactly it is...I don't know.

Thank you

Here is the information for the one in Germany...this will show in the back end cart as #17 listed for a "Howe" who also has another entry as of today shown at #3 on the list...but still is having checkout issues. Let's concentrate on the original entry #17.

Dimensions again are in inches. Weight this time is in U.S. pounds.

Battletech Beginner Box Set - CAT35020 - - Product is 9.5x12x2.5, Weight is 4lb, Quantity 4
Battletech A Game of Armored Combat Box Set - CAT3500D - - Product is 9.5x12x2.5, Weight is 7lb, Quantity 4

Ship from Zip is 53142, Ship to is Muelheim-Ruhr Nordrhein-Westfalen 45479 in Germany.

Shipping on this one is Priority Mail International.

Sorry...my day job is testing the limits of my sanity lately. I updated to the newest download from HikaShop on the staging site (ignoring the newest version of Joomla 3.8.7 update)...and it broke checkout. I can add things to the cart, but when I go to proceed to cart...it displays a page cannot be found error. I took a quick look at things I know could change that off the top of my head in configuration and compared them against my live site, and they all look the same...so maybe I missed something as this worked before I updated.

So not really sure what's going on here. As a side note, if I go to the cart on the back end, my cart is there, and I'm not getting the XML error on the back end cart view screen...but being that checkout is broken, I'll figure this may be related.

Hello,

I just tested it on your website and your issue seems to be coming from your SSL certificate and from the fact that you have set the "Force SSL on checkout" option to YES via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout".

Checking your SSL certificate or disabling that option will probably fix your issue.

Best regards,
Mohamed Thelji.

Hello Mohamed, thank you for looking into that. I'd like to know what it is that I have to check on the SSL certificate. It's been working fine for years, then out of nowhere this issue came up. Same thing for the forcing SSL. It's been active on my site for years with no issues.

Thanks

The error message that we are getting is "Certificate not valid" (cf. screenshot), so the best solution will be to directly contact your hosting company about your testing website SSL certificate.

Mohamed...the host did in fact fix the SSL issue for the staging site...and everything was working just fine. Since there were no issues detected, I went ahead & updated Joomla...

Now I'm BACK to having this EXACT SAME issue found here...

www.hikashop.com/forum/install-update/89...-a-lot-of-stuff.html

I have to admit, I realize that there could be an issue within Joomla, or HikaShop, or a combo of the two. I know it's not "your" fault, but my God I'm getting sick of this problem coming up over & over. I paid someone to confirm the Joomla install was not the issue, I was being asked by HikaShop pro tech support specialist a flat fee of (if I recall) $2100 to look into and resolve. I don't have this kind of money.

Can you please get with Nicolas and Jerome and help me on this recurring issue? I would sincerely appreciate it.

Hello,

About which issue are you talking about ? Can you give us more information about it through some screenshots for example and step by step instructions, so that we can reproduce it on our end.

Pretty much...all of it...

#1 - When looking at your cart, you cannot select ANY shipping method. It defaults to Priority Mail, and when you try to select First Class...it will not change.

#2 - When trying to check out, it asks to select an address, even though an address is already selected (see image "Select Address" attached)

#3 - When trying to edit the address shown, I get an error saying I have to fill in the associated fields (see image "Edit Address" attached)

Hello,

You're actually using the old checkout workflow, can you try it after setting the "Carousel legacy" option to "NO" via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Advanced".

Best regards,
Mohamed Thelji.

Thank you

Hello,

If you want your checkout workflow to work correctly, you'll have to make sure that you have a "Login" step through your checkout workflow via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout".

Also, checking that thread will probably help you :

I did have that as you stated...but every time I would go back to add something else to test further, it would force me to log back in even though I already had. When I removed those log in steps...and used my log in as normal from the side menu...I wasn't logged back out every time I went back to shopping to add something to my cart.

Hi,

The login view is required if you want to use the address view.
The fact that the login doesn't work properly is because there is a problem with the user session, similarily to what the person in the other thread had.
So it means that there is a problem with how the server/website is setup preventing the session system of Joomla from working properly. Removing the login view is not a solution.
