Hi,

After enable the error reporting and debug mode I verified that it is a problem with a plugin of template. Isn't a Hikashop problem.

The manual patch is working for HikaShop 3.x
(Note that HikaShop 2.x cannot support Joomla 3.7 or newer)

HikaShop 2.6.3 is not supposed to be compatible with Joomla 3.8. It's already a miracle that you're able to use it without it crashing everywhere.
Update your HikaShop to the 3.4.1, that should help.

Noticing some URL changes with the HikaShop 3.4.1 that I'm not sure is related to this or not.

But on one site I'm getting SEF URLs now that end with things like category_pathway-18.html
i.e. www.kansasoriginals.com/catalog/item/kan...gory_pathway-18.html

The URL used to be www.kansasoriginals.com/catalog/item/kan...ows-me-away-mug.html

This is one of the two sites that we have "Force canonical URLs on listings" set to "No, generate URLs". We do it this way since the clients like to changes categories and re-arrange things and don't want things ties to categories or paths because of it.

I think this is related to some other changes in 3.4.1 as if I manually patch 3.4.0, this doesn't happen.

Evening,

this morning I did upgrade Joomla to version 3.8.10 and installed the Hikashop 3.4.0 release of this morning as well. At this moment I would like to install the Hikashop 3.4.1 release but that is not possible, it breaks off with a copy file failed. Installing the update from the tmp directory does not work as well.

On another machine I just did upgrade Joomla to version 3.8.10 and directly installed the Hikashop 3.4.1 release with no problem.

Any idea what could cause this, or will I just get back to the backup of this morning?

Did some tests and other extension will update with no problem at all, so I suspect that something went wrong with the Hikashop 3.4.0 update of this morning.

After I reinstalled the backup the install of Hikashop 3.4.1 went without any problem, so if nobody else experience this problem I think it is a failure on my side.

The 3.4.1 only contains bug fixes and these patches. It's actually the latest build of the 3.4.0 + the patches for Joomla 3.8.10.
So if you were already using a recent build of HikaShop 3.4.0, you have the exact same code plus the patches.
So it won't change the URLs.
The "category_pathway" parameter comes from having the "simplified breacrumbs" setting deactivated. That parameters allows HikaShop to track the category used to access the product page in order to construct a complete pathway from the main category of the menu item to the category of the product.

@EnerW: If your download of the install package failed in the middle, that could happen. In that case, just download again the install package and install the new one and it should work.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. When I update Joomla to 3.8.10, all of my categories disappear. I've tried installing hikashop 3.4.1 from a zip, but that didn't do anything.

Right now I've set Joomla back to 3.8.8 so it works, but I would like to get this issue sorted out so I can upgrade.

If you do have view override for "category / listing" ; you will have issues.

I checked all the files, they seem to be updated correctly.

However, I noticed that there is no module.php in "administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/module.php"

The only files I have in helpers are -

index.html
route.php

I have updated to HikaShop 3.4.1 Essentials at the same time as updating Joomla 3.8.8 to 3.8.10 and I have the problem with the empty product page when I click a product category in the category listing page. But I also have direct links from the Joomla main menu to the product listing pages - and they still work! The difference is this:
When I click the Category image or title in the category listing page it generates this URL
.../index.php/tourist-information/hikashop-menu-for-categories-listing/category/paintings
and the resulting page is blank except for the header and main menu.
But from the main menu I have this link
.../index.php/tourist-information/hikashop-menu-for-categories-listing/paintings
and this one displays the products perfectly as before the update.
Is there any way I can remove .../category/... from the URL generated by HikaShop?

Hi,

The "category" part comes from the "category SEF name" setting of your HikaShop configuration. Empty that setting to remove it.
Also, make sure that you don't have the file templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/category/listing.php
If you do, remove it. As Jerome said several times now, this view override can cause such problems if it isn't updated / removed.

Hello, I have made the changes and also upgraded to Hikashop 3.5.0 running Joomla 3.8.10 and I still have no products. Can you please advise what I should be changing to sort this issue out.

The same problem here. I've installed a backup from my site to Xammp and updated to joomla 3.8.10 and Hikashop 3.5.0 still no products in listing.
Also changed templates to see if somewhere there might be the problem, but no result.

Did you try renaming the file templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/category/listing.php ? Templates need to be updated to use the new version of the listing.php file in their overrides as Joomla's changes require a modification in that view file.
