-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4

Im using Hikashop 2.6.4 with the Google Analytics plugin from the version 3.0.1 package.

Now: Transaction and ecommerce information is not sorted per source (last 2 columns)

Before, what we need (it was a VM-website before)

Google adwords helpdesk said the tracking code is missing and give me this link:
developers.google.com/analytics/devguide...nalyticsjs/ecommerce
I see this code is in the plugin but it's not send somehow.

The plugin is activated, im using System - Google Analytics Pro also for the other statistics.

Attached are my settings

Hi,

As you say, both are in the plugin, so there must be something else they aren't telling you.
Maybe enabling the "always use direct call" setting might help ?

I changed the "always use direct call" to Yes.
Still everything is the direct source, no Google organic or cpc to see.

Hi,

Then I guess you'll have to bug the GA support again.
Because all they said is that your website is not sending the transactions data, but you get it in your screenshot, it's just not attributed to the sources. And as far as I know, the transactions being attributed to the different sources is done by GA based on the standard statistics and the commerce statistics sent by HikaShop.

Hereby the reaction from Google.
Does this has anything to do with your plugin?

It seems that hostname for transactions is not set, and neither is data source - this means that transactions are not sent out via the tracking code, but via measurement protocol, which we cannot assist, I'm afraid. Measurement protocol entails that clients ids associated with transaction are very different from normal ones, in that it needs to be set manually. It also needs to match the client ID of the same user in the previous session. This article ( developers.google.com/analytics/devguide...ol/v1/parameters#cid ) describes the field where they need to set the client ID. This is another resource ( www.optimizesmart.com/understanding-univ...easurement-protocol/ ) that could help them, but we cannot support this type of measurement implementation

Kind regards,
Jeroen

Hi,

The "Direct Call" in HikaShop 2.6.4 will create a different "client ID" for every calls it performs.
Otherwise, Google will see all transaction as the exact same person and you can't determine the client ID by the current user because it would see "paypal" as a user who is confirming a lot of transactions.

Now the plugin have some elements in the TODO list in order to improve that support.
