-- HikaShop version -- : 3.1.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.7
-- PHP version -- : 7

Ok, so what's it gonna take to get a Uikit based theme for HikaShop ?

1) I can go out solo and pay for this then possiby resell it
2) I can team up with a sourcefunder and have a bunch of us pay for dev and simply release it out to the world as true open source
3) I can pay HikaShop to build and support it ?

Anyone got suggestions ?
Anyone want to contribute ?

Thanks
Danny

Hi,

1 and 2 are a possibility.

We are not specialists of template creation. So we don't have the proper knowledge to do that.
I would first recommend contacting YooTheme and see with them if they would be willing to work on that. We would be happy to help if they have issues or questions with it or if they need the Business edition for their tests, etc.

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks for your prompt answer.

I went ahead this morning and mandated one of our usual Joomla developers to customize a all 132 front-end views/files.
In doing so, we'll create a file set which we can upload to the relative HikaShop template directory and have a Uikit based template to launch this project off of.

Eventually, I'd like to see this grow into a full fledged installable extension for HikaShop which shouldn't take much more afterward to achieve if i'm correct in my preliminary requirement evaluation.

Since i'm investing out of pocket for this, i'll likely wan't to charge a small download and update fee for this but the goal is more about getting it done as YooTheme and HikaShop are in my list of preferred extensions to work with :-)

Hi,

That sounds great. You might actually want to contact YooTheme about that once done. They might want to purchase that from you to integrate it in their templates.
On our end, we'll be happy to reference that solution so that interested users can easily find it.

Hi

Just keeping us all up to date:

I should have a V1 fileset for the bigger part of the front end views by July 28th 2017

This will use UIkit defaults but still be quite complete

I will then start working on a larger version of this through backend views and customizations (ex: choose default, primary or secondary ...)

COMING SOON !

Danny

Hi iDanny,

any progress in this? I'm also interested to see added uikit3 capabilities to hikashop. this would be a great advantage for this extension. I love Hikashop and I love yootheme pro (uikit3). We should bring them together!

thanks for your efforts.

Hermann

Hi,

Actually yes ! We're finishing up a basic version which should be ready for release by next weekend (Friday Sept. 8th, 2017).
This will be a file set that overrides the current ones in Hikashop 3 and using Uikit 2 (for now). We plan on upgrading this to Uikit 3 soon and having a more flexible component approach to this (like selecting Uikit parameters per view; default, primary, secondary).
Currently, we have this hard coded in the views which can be edited manually if need be.

I'll be updating this thread with the link to the package as soon as I feel it's presentable ;-)

Thanks for the interest, we too want to see Hikashop coexist with YooTheme !
Danny

Hi,
Actually, YES :-)
I'm just packaging it up now.
It's a simplistic approach to what I refer to as UIkit'erizing the template.
Basically, it's almost all of the front end views that are being adapted to use UIkit.
The first version will not allow the admin to configure/select what styles to use (we used primary and other adequate styles). We hope to see this grow where the admin could actually set the styles too (primary, secondary ...)
Nevertheless, it looks cool and it's a first step
You can check out two of our projects which have the theme installed

I'll update this post next week with a link to the package !
Thanks for the interest
Danny

Something I'd be interested in too.

Anybody have a solution to this? How can we get the two work together properly?

Hi

I'm currently working on a plugin / content source for YOOtheme Pro to display products within a YOOtheme template, e.g. in articles. It's not a replacement for the product page, but rather for the Hikashop Product Insert plugin, to include products in regular content. Currently it will display a single product or products from a category. I plan on adding a limit to only display X products, sorting (latest, random, cheapest etc.).

Currently the content source supports these Hikashop product data:

title
description
image
link
price value
price value with tax
price value without discount
price value without discount with tax

I also need to add support for badges, but the hard part is done. I know this is not a full integration - I would love that as I work exclusively with YOOtheme, but it's a start.

The example screenshot is a Hikashop product displayed in a grid element.

Hi,

Thanks ! That's great news.
Let us know if you need help to release it, or when you make it available for others so that we can provide the information to others interested in it.

I will. I'm extending the functionality of the integration to also include category and product pages.
I have attached a screenshot from my development site. This is a template in YOOtheme Pro for a Hikashop product page.

There is still a lot of work to be done. E.g. cart, variants, custom fields etc.
But it's nice to see Hikashop "dressed up" in YOOtheme Pro "clothes" :)

I am incredibly interested in this functionality. I have wanted HikaShop as a source in YooTheme Pro for so long. Please let me know when you have something that can be tested. I am more than willing to beta test anything you need, and I have multiple sites that would be perfect testing grounds for it.
