Hi All,

Exploring the custom email features of Business version I see one called Order Notification that has no HTML or TEXT Content. Order Creation Notification and Order Status Notification would seem to cover most customer email requirements, just wondering what Order Notification is used for in Hikashop.

Thanks,
Ed

Hi,

Order notification is the one used when you click on the email button on the order edit page. Since it's not based on a precise action, there is nothing in it as usually you will want to write a specific message to the user and not a pre formatted one.

One problem I see with that is when you edit an order and select the option to notify the customer, the compose email fields do not appear until you hit OK and then the email is already sent. If you click OK but do not release the mouse button and drag the pointer down off the button, the email form stays visible and you can enter some text. Hitting OK again sends it (I think). At least that is the way my site is working (both versions).

Anyway, you might want to see if you can reproduce that one.

I can't reproduce that problem on my end. Isn't that a problem with your HTML editor and or your browser ?
If you try on demo.hikashop.com, does it work for you ?

It's probably another RocketTheme template quirk. I changed the default editor and that didn't change anything. I did notice that I don't actually have to click the OK button to bring up the email form, I can click the border of the modal box and that works too. If that't the biggest problem I have to worry about, I won't be loosing any sleep!

Works OK in FF so maybe just an IE problem.

Thanks for a great product!
