Confirmation emails intermittently not sending

-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.6
-- PHP version -- : 7.0.25

The majority of emails form hikashop, both order confirmations and user account setups are sending properly, but occasionally the system will not send one. This is a problem as our team depends on the order notifications for inventory management, etc, and an even bigger problem when our customers do not get their notifications.
We are hosted on Bluehost, and are using their stmp settings in Joomla. Emails go through fine if we manually resend them, but as stated occasionally the automated mails do not send.

Hi,

There is no reason HikaShop would send some emails and not some others.
The best is to check the menu Customers>Email history of HikaShop.
There you'll see all the emails sent by HikaShop and you should see all the emails, even the ones you thought weren't sent.
This will thus mean that the problem is not with HikaShop but with the email server sending the emails.
So there are two things you need to do:
- check the emails with something like mail-tester.com and make sure you have 10/10 so that your emails are not considered as spam by some email services.
- contact your hosting company with the details of an email in Customers>Email history that wasn't received so that they can check the logs of the email server to tell you why it wasn't delivered.
