10413 , error message Paypal Express

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.4
-- Joomla version -- : Joomla 2.5

I have activated the Paypal Express as the only payment solution on my test-site.
I works fine.

When a customer shops for more than 900 NOK he gets free shipping, and the freight displays NOK "0" at the checkout. This is correct.

But when I click on the paypal express button I get the message (see picture below):

Connection failure - error code : 10413 , error message : The totals of the cart item amounts do not match order amounts.

This problem only happends when the freight is NOK 0.

How can I solve this ?

Can you test it with the "Send cart detail to paypal" option of your Paypal Express configuration page set to NO ?

Update

I have done some more research. The problem is not with free freight. The "10413 , error message" only occur when I buy two or more of an item.

1. So if I buy 1 item of product A it works fine.
2. When I buy 2 or 3 different Items it works fine(only one of each).
But when I buy 2 or more items of product A i get the error message.

....So I turned the "Send cart detail to paypal" function Off, and now it works fine.

But I need this function to be set to on, so that the customer can see the prices in the Paypal checkout.

Any advice ?

Hi,

Please turn on the debug option of the options of the payment method and do a test again with the issue.
Then, please look in the payment log file available in the Files section of the HikaShop configuration and it should contain debug data for the problem and that will help us understand what's going on.

OK, I installed the updated plugin, but I still experience the same problem. As I earlier wrote. The error only occur when I add two or more of the same item in the shopping basket.

OK. I now use the Paypal Express Checkout and it works very well.

There is only one problem.
..."The Payment confirmed" e-mails that I receive from paypal does not include any product name, price or freight price. When I log into my Paypal account It is the same problem, nothing is specified, just the total price.

The information displays just fine when customers used Paypal Standard payment.

I have looked in the Hikashop Changelog, and I find this....
"HikaShop 2.3.4
-The PayPal Express Checkout payment plugin now strips the products description to avoid errors on PayPal's end."

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it ?

NOTE: As you can see I have the "Send cart detail to paypal" set to YES in the Paypal express plugin.

Any advice ? I use this information for my invoices. So I need it to display.

Hi,

Regarind the source code, the paypal express plugin does not display the product description ; it display the product names.
If the product have some options ; the plugin will display the list of the plugin options as "sub text" for the item.

Ok, tnx for reply. But I think you misunderstand me here


Before when I used the normal HikaShop Paypal payment plugin the Payment confirmed e-mails looked like this (Displaying product name, product code, pcs and freight)



...and now after I have started using the Paypal express checkout plugin the Payment confirmed e-mails looked like this ( with no information, just the total price)



I think this is strange, I need them to display like in the first picture
Any advice ?

Hi,

Except asked paypal in order to have more information, like that I can't tell you.
If the option "send cart details" is activated, the plugin send the cart details.
The email sent by paypal does not depend on a setting in our plugin ; it is fully managed by paypal.
So maybe there is something to configure in paypal express, or just something different in their platforms. The best will be to ask them directly.

Well I did some "Googling", and I seems I am not the only person with this problem. It sees like a very common problem.

Seems like it has something to do with the "DoExpressCheckoutPayment" from the Paypal Express Checkout API.
I think the problem lies within your plugin.

...but again, I might be wrong. Any advice

I think you should do some research on this. For it does not work at all.

I installed this version on my live site.
...and I had two costumers who made a real purchase, one tried to purchase three time in a row.



I receive the e-mail that the order has been cancelled, any no payment was made to my paypal account.




.... but the strange thing is that both name and address is filled out in these orders the orders

I don't understand a thing, so I just activated the old Paypal system.
I I think you should to some more development

We will ; I do not have the time to make real development, it was just something made in few minutes in order to send the cart content for the two different calls.
So I will put that in our ticket system so something will take that in charge in the normal cycle of development ; not in a hurry like I did.
