HikaSubscriptions does not work with HikaShop

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.2.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.7.0
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.3

Hi,

I have installed the HikaShop and HikaSubscription in order to implement the Paypal recurring payment feature. However, it seems not working.

My Steps:
1. Create subscription plan in HikaSubscription
2. Assign subscription plan to products in HikaShop
3. Enable Paypal recurring payment plugin

Then in the checkout page, message "No payment methods found" was shown. I wonder if i missed some steps / configurations.
Please advised.

version of HikaSubscription: 2.0.2

Hello,

You have associate several subscriptions with different periods to the same product.
Paypal recurring (as other recurring methods) cannot handle multiple period recurring.
It cannot renew every day AND every month AND every year in the same time.

You have to create three products for your three periods. Or you can use variants.

Hi Jerome,

Thanks for the advice. It seems working now.
I have another question about HikaSubscription. If Customer A had subscribed annually for a product with $10 (recurring payment), but later the product price increased from $10 to $20. For next year, how much will customer A be charged? $10 or $20?

Hello,

If it's a recurring payment, it's obviously $10.
Recurring means to pay the same price every determined period.
Changing the price is changing the contract and it means that you need to stop the recurring to make another.
More than than the recurring is handle by an external system (Paypal recurring) and there is no way to modify the recurring price of someone without its consent.
HikaSubscription base its recurring on the "original order" to determine what are the products it needs to duplicate in the new order so it will use the same price than before.
