List Brands in Alpha Order

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.2
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.17

When you are adding product and you go to add a brand, the brands are not in any order. How can I have them listed in alpha order?

Please see attached as to what I'm referring to. Thank you!!

Hi,

This dropdown use the type "categorysub" which list the categories using the "category_ordering" sort.
To use a "category_name" sortering, it should use the type "manufacturer" but it will require at this moment some modification to be compatible with what the product page expects (this type is used as a dropdown for filters, so it does not display the same kind of content).

I am using the Brands module to display brands on the page. They were listed in Alpha order and I just added two new brands but instead of them showing in the order that they should be in they are at the bottom of the list. Not sure if it's because I just updated the site that it went wonky or what is happening.

The module settings are as per the attached and I also attached the brands as they show on the page.

Hi,

As you can see on your screenshot, the "ordering column" is set to "category_id".
So the brands are not listed alphabetically on your website but based on the order of their creation. So it's normal that you see the new ones at the end.
Change it to "category_name" and they will be listed alphabetically.
