Problem with auto creation of variants

HI,

I have read many previous posts regarding this topic, however, I can't get the system to automatically generate the variants.

Even if I create a new product and add a characteristic then save it, it says 0 variants. If I add a characteristic to an existing product and press save, 0 variants are created?

I have Variants default published to 'yes' however, I'm struggling with this one? Any other ideas please?

What happens if you have hundreds of possible combinations? It would take a long time to manually create them all, even with the new interface?

I wonder if a solution is already in place here ?

I have a lot or products that I now need to add varients to.
That means that for each product I have to 7 colors in varient1 and 13 colors in variant2 resulting in 20 clicks per product.
Either I spent my time in doing this manually, or create some sql query that will help me with that, but both will probably take me the same amount of time in this case :\

Another remark... all variants are 'not published'. (simple sql query to fix that, but still....)

You don't need to add the variants one by one.
You just select all the values in each characteristic input after clicking on the "add variants" button and when you validate, it will generate all the combinations automatically.

In the future, we plan on adding some buttons to select all the values of a characteristic in one click in order to make it even faster to do that.
