Hello

is it possible to have a dynamic product ordering?

Is it possible to make the product listing read variable through GET and change this ordering field dynamicaly? if yes, where can i custom it?

example :
if the page detect there is GET variable of X then it it will change the ordering field and use producttype, but if the variable is Y then the listing will change the ordering field and use skinttype.

Thank You

Hi,

Yes that's possible.
Create a filter of the type "sort" via the menu Display>Filters.
And make sure that you activate the "redirect POST mode" setting of the HikaShop configuration.
When you use the filter, you'll see the filter parameter in the URL that you can use to change the sorting of the listing.
Note that there is a security issue with sort filters in HikaShop 3.0.1 and previous versions so make sure that you read that before:

Hi,

It's not in the "type" setting of filters. You can have a filter working as a sort whether it's a dropdown, a list, a radio, etc.
So select for example the type to be a single dropdown and then, in the "apply on" setting, select "sort".
Sorting filters are possible since several years ago in HikaShop so no problem with the version of HikaShop.
