Google products doesn't trigger automatic

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.8.8

Since we have moved to https on our website the autocron doesn't write new google products files to the allocated directory.
Do I need to change something in the settings?

Hi,

The cron URL hadn't been resaved in your HikaShop configuration and thus you had the URL without the s after http. However, the cron URL doesn't work without the s on your website probably because of the way the web server has been configured to not serve http requests anymore, only https.
I've made the change on our end and it should now work porperly.

I don't know how or why.
Again I'm having issues on my google products automatic update.
The plugin had been set as automatic
But I can't find the file anywhere or what I find is far outdated.
So please could you help me on this

Ever since the movement to https these issues are current

I have the url for you.
But I don't know if it's ook leaving it in the forum

Hi,

First check that the cron task is still running:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/5...cron-task.html#check
And check at the detailed report of the cron task. You should get some error message if there is a problem with the google products plugin, or a success message if it works. And if you get nothing, it means that the plugin is not triggering. In that last case, that would mean that there is an issue with the settings of the plugin itself. For example, the last trigger date is in the future or the plugin access setting is not public, or something like that.

I have looked into your answer.
For what I see is that is no indication in the log file which is adressing that google products plugin is triggered.
I can see that it has been done on the latest date 26-10-2018.

The date set in the plugin is 1549287785.
Can you tell me if that is a date in the future?

the plugin is set as public.
Does this gives you a clue or hint

So the plugin is being triggered as far as I understand.
If you want to check easily, set that trigger date to 0 in the plugin. That way, the next time the cron is triggered, the plugin will be triggered.
Could you also provide a screenshot of the settings of the plugin ?

Hi,

The settings look fine so I'm not sure.
So since you set the update date to 0, it is still at 0 ?
That would indicate that the plugin is not triggered by the cron.
If the cron is working, then it means that it's not seeing the plugin. And in that case, the only thing left I can see is that you set the plugin access to something else than public, or unpublished it, or something like that.

I got the access you sent by email and after some debugging I found the issue.
You have that problem:

I've added the patch manually. Would you have updated your HikaShop, you would have fixed the problem by yourself :)

Yes I have seen that the cron is working on this website.
I also have tried to update, but joomla doesn't except is, unfortunately

My other website dodowear.nl does have the latest version installed.
Even though that one doesn't do the cron as well :ohmy:

Hi,

Just apply the patch as explained on that other thread and it will work on that other website as well.

If you have a problem with the update of HikaShop, here is what you can do:
- download the install package of the latest version via the My account>My susbcriptions menu on our website.
- extract it on your local computer
- upload it in the tmp folder of your website via FTP
- rename the folders administrator/components/com_hikashop and components/com_hikashop via FTP to avoid permission issues on the folders/files of HikaShop
- run the install from directory option of the Joomla installer with the tmp folder where you uploaded the files and folders of the HikaShop install package
- You should now have the latest version of HikaShop on your website :)
