Hi,

You can create a product for each element and then create a main product with all these other products as options.
Then, you can use the instructions of Philip here www.hikashop.com/forum/product-category-...e/256299.html#256299 to have the product options activated by default for the product and add a bit of CSS to hide the options area of the product so that the customer cannot remove options from the main product.

Follow up question... In other threads, comments have been made that HikaShop 3 will set the groundwork for HikaShop to add product bundles, which will be a built in way to achieve what is now a workaround with options. Is a product bundle feature still planned in an upcoming release?

Hi,

HikaShop 3.0 will indeed include a bundle feature.
However, it won't help in that case since usually, when you have a bundle, you have the price set in the bundle and thus, you only have the tax rate of that bundle product price.
It would require adding some code to the system to calculate the price of the bundle dynamically when not specified in the bundle. That's potentially something we will be able to add in the future if people need it (and could be done with a custom price override plugin if necessary until then)

Yes, would love to see dynamic bundle pricing included as a feature. Based on discussions with our clientele over the years, I think this is how most clients will want product bundling to behave, actually.
