When try to download the latest languagefile in the backend of HikaShop, I receive this error:

Not Implemented
The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because a header value in the request does not match certain configuration settings on the Web server.

Who can tell me what is going wrong?

Hi,

There was a wrong line in the latest version of the Dutch translation which was breaking the system.
We've updated it and it's now working on our end. Please try again.

Nicolas,

I reinstalled HikaShop.
The installation was correct.
When I open HikaShop I see at the Cinfiguration-tab:

Your language file is currently not installed. Load the latest version from our server

So, I click atthe link to download the languagefile from your server.
TRhen I see a popup with:

Hikashop found your language on hikashop.com, this language file will be loaded on your textarea so you can save it and use it on your own website

So I press OK.
And see in the popup the Dutch-translation.
Then I pressed Save and receive the error again:

Not Implemented
The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because a header value in the request does not match certain configuration settings on the Web server.

So I hope you can help me again.

Cause I'm a Dutch-Joomla translator too, I updated the Dutch languagefile.
A lot of lines were with typos and the trabnslatiion i done by a Dutch speaking person from Belgium, I think.
In the Netherlands we use for some sentences other words.
So in the attachment you will find my translation.
I've read and corrected if nessesary all the 1420 lines.

Thanks again for your support.

Regards,
Wouter

We don't have that problem anymore on our end. The Dutch translation is working for us. That problem was caused by an incorrect translation of that file which added a \ and thus broke the javascript of the download system. But we fixed the file since then.
Are you sure that the problem doesn't come from your browser caching that file in its cache since then ? You might want to try with another browser.

It seems that the attachment didn't work. We would be glad to review your modifications and incorporate them in the translation file on our servers so that everyone can benefit from a better translation.

I'm sorry, but I still receive the same message.
I've tried it at two differents PCs and with three different browsers.
I hope you have another suggestions.

And now I have created a zip-file of the ini-file.
See the attachment:

Hi,

I can see that you have two \ in your file. I've removed them as they were the problem with the previous translation file we had on our end.

I've updated the translation file on our server with your version.
Now if you could remove the \ in your translation file on your website and try again to download the file from our server ? Hopefully, it should work for you too now.

Nicolas,

I still think there is something wrong.
I did what wrote but receive the same message when saving the languagefile in Hikashop.
Maybe it is the languagefile. I don't know.

What figured out:
1. Iselected all the lines I received in Hikashop Configuration in the language-popup.
2. I've created a file with Notepad++ called "nl-NL.com_hikashop.ini".
3. I uploaded that file to: "../language/nl-NL"
4. I reopened my Joomla 2.5.1 site and opened Hikashop Configuration.
All the Hikashop backend is still English, but now without a message about an languagefile.

In the Configurationtabs I see the tab: "Language".
There are now an English and a Dutch file.

Can you tell me how I can select the Dutch language as my default language?

If you like it to test with a Dutch Joomla-translation, I've uploaded the Joomla 2.5.1 NL-languagefiles in a zip.

File Name: nl-NL_joom....1v1.zip
File Size:252 KB

Thanks again for your support.

I checked your translation file (you can do it by just turning on the joomla debug and translation debug in the configuration of joomla) and indeed found two problems.
On one line you had a translation twice.
On another one you had quotes problems.

I've updated the file on our end. It's valid now and it should work for you too.

I still receive the error 'Not Implemented'.
But I copied the content in the Hikashop-language-popup.
Created a new ini-file and uploaded that file to the 'langauge'folder.

And now, I have a perfect Dutch Hikashop !!! :)

So thanks for your support and the lesson about the bugreport.
That will help me with translations in the future.

If I can be one of your translators for the Dutch language, please let me know.

This topic is solved.

Hi,

We would be happy about that ^^.
Don't hesitate to share your translation file when you modify it (there is a share button for that when you edit it via the interface) and we will update it on our end.

We are a bit outof topic now, but is there a way you can inform me when a new languagefile-release is available to translate?

I'm also the Dutch translator of JEvents. They create a Gold Membership for every language-translator.
Do you have the same way helping each other?

Hi,

You should follow our twitter feed. That's where we post first once we do a release.

And yes, we can give away an Essential edition if you decide to maintain it. Let me know if you're interested.
