The modification from our FAQ replaces that whole span, so the file being used on your website does not carry the modification anymore. Please check it via the menu Display > Views: select the template of your website at the top of the page, then open the file product / listing_price.php. If the modification is gone from it, putting it back should bring your sale methods back. Note that the next version adds a "Price unit label" setting directly on the product edit page. It replaces the " each" text for that product without touching any file, and you can enter the name of a translation there so that the label follows the language of the visitor. So you will be able to drop the custom field and the view modification entirely. For the amount: we set up an item custom field with the column name "amount" on a clean HikaShop 6.5.2 and the amount entered is indeed the price used in the cart, so the mechanism still works in your version. I installed Hikashop and imported the products successfully; then I installed Falang and also imported its tables. Translation of pages and menus is working, but product custom fields (whose contents were created and translated via the language files it-IT_com_hikashop.ini and en-GB_com_hikashop.ini) are not (only the language constants are shown). Plus, although Italian is set as the main admin and frontend language and the Italian translation files are correctly installed, the Hikashop admin interface is still in English, as are all core Hikashop frontend strings (e.g., “add to cart”). Italian language files are correctly present in the language/it-IT folders, and have the right contents. But it seems they aren’t read by Hikashop, neither on the backend nor on the frontend. But If I put some of the translated constants in the override file, they work. I could then copy all the contents of the language files in the override files, but I don’t think this is the correct working procedure. Last, I noticed that in the old site, the language strings that have line breaks are correctly rendered, while in the new one, they are not ( tags instead work). Is this a Joomla issue or is it specific to Hikashop? I’ll have to do a massive search and replace on the language files, or is there a way to avoid this? The original site was built before Hikashop's integrated translation system, so they created duplicate products (one for Spanish, one for English). For the new J5 site, I am trying to use the modern translation feature to merge these products and simplify management. I've run into two issues that I'm hoping to get some guidance on. 1. Product Name, Page Title, and Alias fields are linked My first issue is that when using the translation interface, the product_name, product_page_title, and product_alias fields seem to be linked. The system copies the same string into all three fields, and I can't set them independently. For SEO, I need to define different content for these fields. For example: * Product Name: My Awesome Product * Page Title: Buy My Awesome Product \| My Company * Alias: my-awesome-product Currently, if I enter "My Awesome Product" in the "Name" field, it automatically populates the "Page Title" and "Alias" fields with that exact string. If I then try to edit just the "Page Title", the "Name" field gets updated to match it. This behavior occurs in both the original language and the translation. Here is an image of the desired outcome (with independent values) And here is an image of what is actually happening (the fields are forced to be identical): 2. Canonical URL tag is missing The second issue is that the canonical URL tag () is not appearing in the HTML source code on any of my Hikashop product pages. I found another forum post detailing the same problem here: Following the temporary solution in that thread, I went to the Joomla System - Language Filter plugin and set the "Alternate tags" parameter to "No". This does make the canonical tag appear correctly on the product page. However, this isn't a long-term solution, as I need the "Alternate tags" (hreflang) enabled for our multilingual SEO. This suggests a potential conflict between Hikashop's canonical tag generation and the Joomla Language Filter plugin. I'd really appreciate any help or ideas on how to get these two issues sorted out. Getting these fields to work independently and having both canonical and alternate tags show up is pretty critical for the site. Thanks in advance!") The custom field's box appears when I click on the French language file (translations) for a specific product; however, when I enter the French text, save the file and check the French page on the frontend, it shows the English text, not the French translation that I’ve entered. The French text I entered for the description of the product is appearing when I open the product’s French page though. Is there something I’m not doing well?
