Did you modify the files of the product view in any way ? I did not change it after the update from 1.6.6 to 1.70 So I am still wondering what to modify or delete. Between 1.6.6 and 1.7 there was no added CSS or other code and no additional addons. If you didn't edited the files, there must be something wrong somewhere but it's impossible to say without debugging the code directly on your website as we don't have the problem here.
