Yet, i'm still getting all the products from all the categories.")* When you click on a category on the left, it only display its subcategories on the right area. And since you don't have any sub categories in the tshirts category, you don't see any category on the right area in your screenshot. Also, the GO button is there to filter the listing of categories. You should click on the "product category" link of the left of the popup. That will display the listing of categories on the right area. There, click on the category and you will have the category added to the option.
