This problem only occurs when Joomla's SEF URLs are turned on. Unfortunately I have been asked to use SEF URLs, so I need to find a fix for the issue. I see in the post I linked to above, there is the following suggestion : "if you have provided a wrong Joomla menu, it would explain why your URL are wrong" - is this applicable to my case and what would I do with it? Do you have any suggestions for how to fix the issue, or could you possibly give me some directions/coding to force the correct URL here? It means that you have to create a Joomla menu for the profile edition so the Joomla router will give you a better URL. Please understand that your question is outside the limit of our support. Which has improved things. But now the "Customer Account" button goes through to the Edit Profile page instead of the straight to the User Profile page. Which is still a huge improvement. Thank you.
