However, I'm still unsure if HikaShop can handle all the requirements. Therefor, I've listed all the requirements below. Can I get your advice on the feasibility? The things which are not that common in an online shop and require extra attention have been marked in red. Categories The online shop should contain 3 different categories: - Tables - Wall cupboards - Coffee tables Each category will contain about 10 different products. Products Each product will have a number of options which the customer has to select to customize the product. The configuration which is mentioned below describes the different options for the category ‘Tables’. - Length: 4 options in list of values (180 cm / 200 cm / …) - Width: 2 options in list of values (95 cm / 100 cm) - Frame: 7 options in list of values (X frame / A frame / …) - Wood: 6 options in list of values (Oak / Beech / …) - Color: 6 options in list of values (White / Grey / …) - Finishing: 10 options in list of values (Natural oiled / Brushed / ...) Details at product page The application should show: - A main image - Several extra images > A zoom in on hover is required > When changing the configuration of a product, the image does not need to change > There is no watermark Product description which is free text. Structured attributes which will enable filtering in catalog. A product should have PDF attachment which will show more detailed info about the product such as technical information. The application should show a like / share on Facebook link. The application should show a contact us button. Prices - Length: Independent from other configurations - Width: Independent from other configurations - Frame: Independent from other configurations - Wood: Independent from other configurations - Color: Independent from other configurations The application should offer a discount when a certain volume is reached. Example - When ordering 1 table, the price is 100 EUR - When ordering >1 and 5 table, the price is 60 EUR Price should change real-time when changing the configuration of a product. Customers A guest user should be able to see a base price. The application should also offer the possibility to use a promo code; for example: - 25% price reduction on category tables when using this code Check out A user should be able to check out as guest or by logging in. When visiting the shopping cart, the application should show the different products in the cart and their configuration + price. The user should be able to receive / print an invoice. The user should have to possibility to add remarks / free text when placing an order. The application should force the user to agree with terms & conditions when placing an order / GDPR flag. Shipping The user should be able to add their shipping address. There should be different shipping options, each with their own cost. Shipping should offer a fixed cost + a variable cost based on volume. Payment The user should be able to add their billing address. The payment gateways (ideal / paypal / mastercard / visa / bankcontact / bank transfer / …) should allow the most common ways to pay for: - Belgium - The Netherlands - Luxembourg - France Languages The application should allow 2 languages for products / check out / …: - Dutch - French Non-functional requirements The performance of the application should not reduce the user experience. The application should be responsive (different devices such as desktop, tablet, smartphone). User friendly back end for administrator. Having 20000 combinations of options is not a problem with custom fields of the table "item" in HikaShop. However, there is no system where you can enter a formula like yours to calculate the price based on what is entered in the custom fields. It is possible however to do it by developping a custom plugin to dynamically calculate the price of the product in the cart based on the custom item fields. We've developed several "generic" ones like width*length*base price. You can check the section "How to sell products by Width and Length ?" of our FAQ, inf you want to get that width*length plugin: www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/106-faq.html#cart If you have a developer on hand to help you with that it will be easy to adjust the plugin to the specific pricing rules you have. Having the price update directly on the product page when you change the values in the custom fields before the add to cart would also require some javascript customization to do that calculation and refresh the price displayed. But I am a basic user, so to speak, with basically no knowledge of editing .PHP or .CSS files to b able to help myself. Emails handling in Hikashop. Email Templates Is there anyway or feature or plugin or extension that allows me WYSIWYG access to the emails Hikashop is going to send to customers. I want to be able to quickly and easily "edit" the templates to ensure logos are "just so", additional care statements are nicely phrased etc. I am currently buggered if I can find a place inside Hikashop that allows me this "bunny" level access. Yes I can see the emails via the menus: 2 Order administrator notification, 3 Order creation notification, 4 Order status, etc. But can't find a "bunny" supported way of editing them. Any help is appreciated here, including having purchase an extension or plugin if needed. Editing emails sent individually to users as the order moves in between order status's I have administered a Hikashop system before and have sent emails to customers about their orders as the order progresses through the "process" towards fulfillment. At that time adding more words, or editing those "system emails" seemed not to be a supported function. Is there any way now, of being able to add additional text to the templates before the email is dispatched to the customers? Thank you again in advance for any help with this. Any and all replies can direct me to purchase a plugin or whatever. But I would just like an easy way to result, rather than having to turn myself into a .PHP or .CSS guy. It would seem that when there is a large amount of variants it somehow stalls(?) the server, which returns a cannot load page, contact your administrator message. I would like to ask how is it possible to have the full range of variants described above without bogging down the server, or if there is a fix for the problem having 4000 variants preventing the page from loading.. However, when selecting my Web Shop link to access HikaShop all the name changes I have made for various components, including HikaShop, return to the original component name when I am viewing or accessing all aspects of HikaShop in the backend (see attached image 4.) All the name changes I have made to the components keep their changes when I access all the other backend components and extensions. Only when I access HikaShop, the component name changes return to their original name. What could be the problem here? 3. I have two identical test sites with Hikashop installed, on two different servers; one is GoDaddy the other SiteGround. Periodically, I get an automated e-mail message from GoDaddy with a malware alert in relation to the attachinvoice plugin (see attached image number 5.) I do not get these alerts with SiteGround only on Godaddy. I have not updated the attachinvoice plugin, since buying it almost 3 years ago. Do I need to get an update? Depending on what you want to show in the drop down of the minicart select product image, proceed button, product name, delete button, coupon, shipping.
