Every thing within the hikashop seems fine, I can see all the products etc. The joomla menus work for everything other than hikashop components? The path name that is created seems to add an additional level, what I mean is instead of: www.mysite.com/index.php/categoryname I get www.mysite.com/index.php/Banners/categoryname I then get an error because the link in the menu is pointing to something that does not exist. I have looked everywhere to find the reference to the Banners folder but there is none in any of the products, nor the categories nor the hikashop config so how is the additional folder called Banners being added by either joomla or hikashops. I should mention again that the menus work for all other linked items except hikashop components. That's normal. The alias it automatically filled when you save a product through the interface. If you import it, then you won't have it. You don't necessary need an alias in your products. HikaShop can generate it dynamically out of the product name when it generates the URLs. It won't change anything for SEO. 2. There is no feature in the mass action system to concatenate fields and text together in order to update another field. That's something we're working on and hope to push for HikaShop 3.1 in several months. HikaShop can automatically generate the canonical URLs for you if you set the "force canonical URLs on listing" setting to "Use canonical URL and generate it if missing". Otherwise, the simplest in your case is to generate it in your CSV in the product_canonical column (it should be fairly easy): support.office.com/en-us/article/CONCATE...7a-b093-75d702bea31d And then you can import the CSV with all the canonical URLs. 3. Before generating your canonical URLs automatically, I would recommend to try one with a product so that you can make sure that you have the correct formula. If you want to remove the "product" part of the URL, it's totally possible. Empty the setting "Product SEF name" of the HikaShop configuration and that will do it. You can't add the category alias, but you'll get the menu item alias (that's from Joomla's SEF system). So if you construct your menu items structure in a way that match with the categories of your store, you can do that. 4. Turn on the "error reporting" and "debug mode" settings of the Joomla configuration and try again. It should display an error message in the popup which will help us understand the situation. Once you have thousands of products, the script times out. Even with "A Lot" set, our Trigger fails and gives us the empty XML file. We have to modify google_products.php to be "0" for timeout so PHP won't time out. And then we have to modify the Apache config to also have a "0" timeout. This is to keep Apache alive so we can actually download the XML file once PHP finishes building the file. We could skip all the unlimited timeouts (which could lead to DOS) if we could kick off the Trigger from the PHP command line. PHP command line timeout is already set to be "0" so the script could run and generate the XML without any HTTP involved. Thanks.")
