Joomla problem please help

I noticed today after a few weeks of not going on to my Joomla admin page that when I need to get on to my product category page that I'm unable to do so as a 404 error comes up. So on the back end of Joomla you hover over components and you see Hikashop option. Before I used to be able to hover over Hikashop and there would be a sub menu. This has now disappeared. Has anybody any ideas why this may have happened. On the front end of the website the shop is still there!!!

Hi,

That sounds like you have some issues with your menu items in the database.
I would recommend to:
1. Delete all the hikashop menus of the backend (not your frontend menus !) in the jos_menus table of your database via phpmyadmin.
2. Then, click on the "rebuild tree" button of the joomla menu manager to fix the menu items data.
3. And finally, install again HikaShop in order to get the menus back in there.
