In my mind, finished or validated an order without have a customer. Plus, it seems more logical to login before pay, like this the customer will be more confident we think. Does this can solve your issue, not sure and so can you add your payment plugin configuration **screenshot**. In any case - I tried it now the with first login and then payment (please also check for me) and it is showing the same error.
