I have cleared the Joomla cache but no difference. I have not added a language - current language is en-GB. This is the only language installed. Please advise action. Thanks and regards Brett")* Hi, Can you edit the language file under the languages tab of the HikaShop configuration ? At the bottom of the language, you have the version number of the language file: HIKA_LANG_VERSION="6.2.0" If this number is not the same or higher than your HikaShop version (which you can find at the top of the main tab of the HikaShop configuration), HikaShop will display that information message. The en-GB language file is the only one included in the HikaShop install package. And when you update HikaShop, it automatically updates that language file too. So normally, for the en-GB language file, it should always be synched with HikaShop. Potentials reason I can see it why it wouldn't be the case would be : - if you manually changed the version of the language file (with a copy/paste of the whole file content for example) - if there are some permission problems which prevented the Joomla installer from updating the language file I don't expect this to be a bug in HikaShop as I can't reproduce the issue on my end and no one else reported the problem. I downloaded the latest language file and uploaded it manually and this cleared the message. Thanks and regards Brett")* Regarding the permissions you also need to look at the owner. If the owner of the file is not the same user as the user used by your web server to run the PHP of your website, your website will use the 5 / 4 permission, not the 7 / 6 and thus it won't be able to write the file. This can sometimes happen when websites are migrated, copied etc. But anyways, I'm glad you found the solution. Thanks and regards Brett")* FYI, I've had this same issue on several sites across several servers. All of them are still stuck on HIKA_LANG_VERSION="6.1.1" File permissions and ownership all look good, never had a problem updating before. None of the sites has been migrated or copied. The dates on the language/en-GB/en-GB.com_hikashop.ini files show an update date of 6.2.0; however, this seems odd, as that means the file changed with the update, but it isn't the correct version number in it. Clicking the update button in Hikashop doesn't change the file date, so it doesn't seem to update the file. I have a copy of I used two of the files to do a couple of the updates: com_hikashop_business_v6.2.0_2026-01-19_20-04-37.zip and com_hikashop_essential_v6.2.0_2026-01-19_20-11-01.zip. And I opened those zip files and looked at the language/en-GB.com_hikashop.ini file in them. Both have 6.1.1 in it. So I downloaded a new copy from Hikashop (com_hikashop_business_v6.2.0_2026-01-28_15-59-07.zip) and it has 6.1.1 in the lanague file as well.
