I’m experiencing a reproducible issue with HikaShop 6.5.0 (updated from 6.2.0) when used with the (latest) Helix Ultimate template. On product pages with variants, the add to cart function always adds the last variant in the list, regardless of which variant is selected by the user. This makes the variant selection effectively non-functional. Variant selection works visually in the UI However, when clicking “Add to cart”, the system always submits the last rendered variant This happens consistently for all products with variants When switching to the default Joomla Cassiopeia template, the issue disappears completely and variant selection + add to cart works as expected. Could you please confirm if there is a known compatibility issue or required template adjustment for Helix Ultimate? Thanks in advance!") I’ve identified a behavior in HikaShop’s structured data that may need review to improve compatibility with Google Merchant listings. Context: * On my product pages, HikaShop generates a JSON-LD block of type `ProductGroup`, with variants inside `hasVariant`. * Each variant is generated as a `Product`, and each one contains its own `offers` block of type `Offer`. * Inside each `Offer`, fields such as `url`, `itemCondition`, `priceCurrency`, `price`, and `availability` are correctly included. Observed issue: * In Google Search Console, within the “Merchant listings” report, I am getting warnings like: `Missing field "hasMerchantReturnPolicy" in "offers"` * I checked a specific affected URL, and the warning points directly to the `Offer` block generated by HikaShop. * However, Google’s Rich Results Test does not flag this as a critical issue (only optional fields like `priceValidUntil`), but Search Console still reports the missing `hasMerchantReturnPolicy` in `offers` under Merchant listings. My questions: * Do you plan to add support for `hasMerchantReturnPolicy` inside `Offer` in the product/variant JSON-LD? * If not, what would be the recommended way to implement it in HikaShop without modifying the core? It would also be helpful to know if you plan to support: * a global return policy at `Organization` level * and product-level exceptions (e.g. personalized products), in a way compatible with Google Merchant Center / Merchant listings. If needed, I can provide a real affected URL and the exact JSON-LD snippet generated by HikaShop. Thank you.") Right now the shop contains about 3600 products, many of which have 5 to 15 variants. Because of this my database is becoming quite large (currently around 1.2 GB), and this is starting to give memory issues on my server when doing things like product exports or generating a site map. I have already asked the client to go though their products and delete any that are no longer needed, but this does not really fix the issue. So my question is: are old products entries removed from the Hikashop database tables when they are deleted from the administrator console? In PHP 8.3, hash_equals() now throws a TypeError when either argument is null, whereas in PHP 8.0–8.2 it would silently cast to string. Suggested fix: phpif(empty($order->order_token) \|\| !hash_equals($order->order_token, (string)$token)) { return null; } Impact Severity: Critical — the User Control Panel is completely broken for all users on PHP 8.3 All registered users are unable to view their orders, account details, or any user-facing HikaShop functionality The site redirects users to the login page, and after login, immediately returns a 500 error") Category: [Install & Update](/forum/25-install-update "Having an installation or update issue? Since updating HikaShop and the Price Calculations plugin, the price calculations on my product pages are no longer working. I am not a developer myself, so I reached out to Claude (AI assistant by Anthropic) for help investigating the issue. I want to be upfront about this — I am not certain whether the findings below are the actual cause, but I wanted to share everything we found so you have as much context as possible. Environment: - HikaShop Business: v6.4.1 - Price Calculations plugin: v2.4.1 - Joomla version: 6.1.0 What we found during investigation: 1. The browser console shows the following error on the product page: "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'price')" at aluminium-naam-typeplaat/:140 at xhr.onreadystatechange (hikashop.js:1587) 2. The AJAX call to /component/hikashop/calculations/calculate/ returns: "No product id" 3. When inspecting the form element on the product page via the browser console: - document.getElementById('hikashop_product_form') exists - However, the form only contains basic cart fields (cart_type, add, ctrl, task, return_url) - There is no product_id field and no custom fields present in the form - window.Oby.getFormData() therefore returns no product_id 4. In calculations.php (line 81), the generated JavaScript uses resp.price to read the AJAX response. Based on the changelog of v2.3.0, the response now returns price_value instead of price. I have already updated this line locally as a test, but this did not resolve the issue because the form is empty. After this test I bring everyting back to normal to instal the latets plugin again. 5. The form[name="hikashop_product_form"] appears to no longer contain the product data and custom field values that the plugin relies on. This may be related to a change in HikaShop 6.4.x in how the product form is structured or populated. Thank you very much for your time and support. One small correction first: the AJAX response of the plugin still returns a "price" field (not "price_value"), so that part of the AI's analysis was off. The real issue is the one you spotted right after it: the product form on the page is missing the product_id input, so the AJAX call goes out without a product_id and the server replies "No product id". Without a product_id, the JavaScript then tries to read the price out of an empty response, which is the "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'price')" error you see in the console. This is a known side effect of the product form restructuring that happened in HikaShop 6.4.0. HikaShop 6.4.1 already includes the fixes for it, both on the form side and on the JavaScript helper that the Price Calculations plugin uses to read the form. So in principle, on 6.4.1 it should be working out of the box. The two most common reasons it still doesn't work after the update are: 1. A cached copy of HikaShop's main JavaScript file is still being served to your browser, so the fix is technically deployed on the server but your browser is still running the old version. Could you try a hard refresh on the product page (Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows/Linux, Cmd + Shift + R on Mac), and also clear the Joomla cache from System > Maintenance > Clear Cache? Then reload the product page and check whether the calculation comes back. 2. Your Joomla template has a custom override of the HikaShop product view. Joomla template overrides take precedence over HikaShop's own files, so if the override was created before the 6.4.0 restructuring, it can keep the old form structure on the page and prevent the fix from taking effect. To check: in your Joomla files, look for a folder like templates/<your_template>/html/com_hikashop/product/ . If you see files like show_default.php, show.php, quantity.php inside it, then you do have overrides for the product page. If that is the case, the simplest test is to rename that "product" folder temporarily to "product_backup" and reload the product page, to see whether the calculation comes back. If it does, the overrides are the culprit and they need to be regenerated from the 6.4.1 versions.") 5 months 1 week ago by [nicolas](/forum/user/63-nicolas "View nicolas's Profile") | Replies:1 Views:233 | [Last Post](/forum/25-install-update/910525-price-calculations-v2-4-1-not-working-after-hikashop-6-4-1-update#371924 "Hi, Thanks for the very detailed report, it gives us a good starting point. The short answer is: HikaShop's built-in CSV import does not currently include the category metadata fields (page title, meta description, keywords, canonical, alias, etc.) row-by-row. It's primarily a product import that can auto-create categories with a name and a namekey, but it does not read the SEO columns. You have three practical paths depending on what you actually need. 1) Same value across many categories: HikaShop Massactions (built-in, Business edition) If your goal is to set the same value on many categories at once (for example, applying a SEO title pattern to all subcategories of a parent), the Massactions feature does it without any extra extension. - HikaShop > System > Massactions > New. - Massaction table: Category. - Add filters to select the categories you want to touch (by parent, by name pattern, by ID range, etc.). - Add the action "Update values" and pick the column you want to set: category_meta_description, category_keywords, category_page_title, category_canonical, category_alias, category_description, etc. - Save the massaction and run it. You can re-run it later or schedule it via the task plugin. The limitation is that "Update values" applies the same value to every selected category, so it's perfect for batch SEO conventions but not for a per-row import where every category has its own distinct values. 2) Per-row distinct values via CSV: RO CSVi (third-party extension) For a real category CSV import where each row carries the values for one category, the most complete option is RO CSVi by RolandD, a commercial Joomla extension dedicated to imports/exports for several Joomla components, HikaShop included. It supports every HikaShop category field, including all the ones you mentioned: - category_name, category_namekey, category_alias, category_description - category_meta_description, category_keywords, category_page_title, category_canonical - category_published, category_access, category_menu, category_layout, category_quantity_layout - category_parent_id, category_ordering, category_depth, category_left, category_right, category_path - category_type (mandatory: tells HikaShop whether you're importing product categories, manufacturers, taxes or order statuses, since they all share the same table) - category_id, category_created, category_modified, category_site_id Required columns for the import are category_path (the position in the tree) and category_type. The rest are optional and only the fields you include in the CSV are updated, which makes it easy to update only meta/SEO fields without touching anything else. Their documentation: rolandd.com/documentation/ro-csvi/hikash...shop-category-import (and the full field list at rolandd.com/documentation/ro-csvi/hikashop/available-fields ). It's the most established CSV import tool in the Joomla ecosystem and it's what most merchants use when they need this kind of granular import. 3) One-shot maintenance: HikaShop Migration tool or direct SQL If it's a single one-shot job and you don't want to bring in a new extension, you could use a direct SQL on #__hikashop_category in phpMyAdmin or via a small script. The relevant columns are category_meta_description, category_keywords, category_page_title, category_canonical, category_alias, category_description. Quick, but requires some proficiency with PHPMyAdmin. In your case, if you have many categories and per-row distinct meta values that you want to maintain over time, RO CSVi is probably the most efficient answer. If it's a one-time fix on a known set of categories with a shared SEO pattern, Massactions handles it without any extra extension.") 5 months 2 weeks ago by [nicolas](/forum/user/63-nicolas "View nicolas's Profile") | Replies:1 Views:261 | [Last Post](/forum/25-install-update/910507-import-category-data#371834 "Hello, Thanks for reaching out. If it's a one-time fix on a known set of categories with a shared SEO pattern, Massactions handles it without any extra extension.") by [nicolas](/forum/user/63-nicolas "View nicolas's Profile") 5 months 2 weeks ago |
