If I understood correctly from previous similar questions in the forum, from the ModuleManager I have activated the option to Show Sub-menu Items for the module associated with the menu (start and end level values go from 1 to all so they seem non exclusive and logical as well) and from advanced option I have disabled Caching Somewhere along the forum I think I 've located an explanation that Joomla and not Hikashop must be the culprit and so I have applied the proposed solution of no caching in the Global Configurations of the Joomla back end, still to no avail. Menu still needs to be clicked on for the menu items to appear. This is a joomla specific question as you're talking about menus and menu items being displayed by a menu module in a certain way.
