Thank you.")* Hi, I didn't see any question in your message. But I don't see a problem with having a Joomla article on the homepage of your website. Just create that article, create a menu item for that article via the Joomla menu manager and make it as default. The left categories module will still display unless you restricted to only some menu items, but even in that case, it's just a matter of configuring it to display for that new homepage menu item.
