Currently it's working 100% technically, however it's not immediately evident on which of the specifications are changeable/upgradeable. Any suggestions? Not sure if there is a way to highlight characteristics which have more than 1 options but this might be an easier way for the user to understand there is content in the drop down? You can create custom product fields via the menu Display>Custom fields.
