You can find Joomla 3.8, 3.9 and 4.0 development branches ; you can find a Joomla "master" branch. And you can find releases. Now about the issue, some modification in the Joomla calendar during the 3.7.2 release break how the calendar can be initialized in Ajax ; that new calendar is still unstable since his refactoring and we already submitted some reports about B/C.
