You can create AVIF files and add them yourself to your products / categories. In that case, you indeed want to add the avif extension in that setting. 2. You continue using the image files you were using before and just activate the "Generate AVIF images" setting in the HikaShop configuration. It will automatically generate the AVIF files when needed and use them on the frontend. So you don't need to change anything to the way you work.
