So if you use them to setup shipping methods with price range, if you have two products costing $1, the shipping fee will be $3 not $6. If you want the shipping fee to be $6 in that case, you would have to create a manual shipping method with the "shipping price per product" turned on and then in each product configure the shipping price for that shipping method for that product.
